The MCCAA would like to inform the public about a voluntary product recall of Mentadent Kids toothbrush 2-6 years (EAN code 8000630057162) made by its manufacturer as a precautionary measure due to hazards it poses. The manufacturer said that the cover head of this toothbrush poses a potential choking hazard in the event of accidental ingestion by the child. 

As a result, the MCCAA is taking the appropriate procedures to ensure that this product is removed from the local market. The manufacturer is recommending consumers who bought this product to throw away the cover head whilst continue using the toothbrush. Consumers may also return products affected by this recall to the retailer from where they bought them, who is obliged to redress consumers. The remedy can take the form of replacement of the recalled product with a safe one.
