The MCCAA would like to inform the public of the product recall that IKEA has made regarding ‘HEROISK’ and ‘TALRIKA’ plates, bowls, and mugs. The affected articles are listed in the following website.

IKEA has received reports of the plates, bowls and mugs breaking, potentially causing burns due to hot contents. As a result, the product does not comply with the requirements of the General Product Safety Directive.

Consumers who had bought this product should refrain from using it and return it to the retailer from where they bought it. Retailers are obliged to redress consumers, which remedy can take the form of a repair or replacement of the recalled product.
