The MCCAA would like to inform the public of the product recall that Oculus has made regarding Quest 2 Virtual Reality Headsets. The affected serial numbers will have both of the following:

•  First 5 characters are ‘1WMVR’ or ‘1WMHH’; and
• The fourth from the last character is ‘0’ (zero).

The product does not comply with the requirements of the General Product Safety Directive. The foam of the product contains substances which are skin and eye irritants. Consequently, the user could suffer from irritation. Further information can be found here.  

Consumers who had bought this product should refrain from using it and return it to the retailer from where they bought it. Retailers are obliged to redress consumers, which remedy can take the form of a repair or replacement of the recalled product.
