In terms of regulation 5(4) of the Control of Concentrations Regulations, 2002 published in Legal Notice 294 of 2002, the Director General of the Office for Competition notifies for general information that a notification of a concentration between John G.Cassar Limited (Qormi, Malta) and C.Boffa Ltd (Santa Venera, Malta) was filed on Monday, 4 July 2022.

The nature of the concentration is an acquisition of parts of business of C.Boffa Ltd by John G. Cassar Limited.

John G.Cassar Limited is involved in the importation and distribution of products related to cards, giftware, stationary & office supplies, arts & crafts supplies, as well as toys. C. Boffa Ltd is involved in the importation and distribution of products related to stationery and office supplies, including arts and crafts products. Both parties are mainly involved in the wholesale distribution business in Malta, with only John G.Cassar Limited also involved in the retail distribution business through Leisure Stores Limited that operates the retail Junior’s toy shops.

The Director General of the Office for Competition invites interested third parties to submit their written objections on this notified concentration within seven days following publication of this notice at the following address:
