Webinar: Latest info on the Explosive Precursors Regulation
Some chemicals freely available on the market may be used for illicit purposes. The Explosives Precursors Regulation establishes rules regarding the making available, introduction, possession, and use of substances or mixtures that could be used for the illegal manufacture of explosives. Regulation (EU) 1148/2019 restricts their availability to the public and provides systems for reporting of suspicious transactions. Furthermore, the regulation delineates the responsibility on businesses to keep their staff (and supply chain) informed on the latest developments and obligations in the regulation.
As part of our commitment to provide guidance on European Regulations, the Technical Regulations Division of the MCCAA, in collaboration with the Malta Police Force will be hosting an information webinar titled Latest Information on the Explosive Precursors Regulation on Wednesday the 20th of July 2022 from 10:00 till 12:00. The webinar will be streaming live on our Facebook Page.
During the webinar, we will focus on where these chemicals are found in commercial products, what to do in case of suspicion as well as how suppliers keep track of their transactions.
