In the light of the recent news regarding the alleged tampered mileage in the sales of second-hand cars imported from Japan, the Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority is informing affected consumers to notify the Office for Consumer Affairs by submitting a complaint or enquiry either online on https://mccaa.org.mt/home/complaint or by calling 8007 4400. 

It is important that complaints are to be substantiated with the necessary documentation including proof of purchase, name of trader, and any other available documentation from Transport Malta.

Regarding further investigative steps, the Office of Consumer Affairs will be gathering more information from the affected consumers and depending on what results from this information, will take the necessary steps accordingly.
