In terms of regulation 5(4) of the Control of Concentrations Regulations, 2002 published in Legal Notice 294 of 2002, the Director General of the Office for Competition notifies for general information that a notification of a concentration between  Centerbridge Partners L.P. (New York, United States) and Speedcast International Limited (New South Wales, Australia) was filed on Wednesday, 9 December 2020.

The nature of the concentration is an acquisition of sole control of Speedcast International Limited by affiliates of Centerbridge Partners, L.P.

The economic sectors involved concern the investment management sector and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and internet services to ferries.

The Director General of the Office for Competition invites interested third parties to submit their written observations on this notified concentration within seven days following publication of this notice.
