In terms of regulation 5(4) of the Control of Concentrations Regulations, 2002 published in Legal Notice 294 of 2002, the Director General of the Office for Competition notifies for general information that a notification of a concentration between Coinbase Global, Inc (California, United States) and Sentillia B.V. (Amsterdam, Netherlands) was filed on Tuesday, 17 June 2025.

The nature of the concentration is the acquisition of sole control by Coinbase Global, Inc., of Sentillia B.V. and its directly and indirectly wholly owned subsidiaries. Sentillia B.V. trades under the name Deribit.

Coinbase Global, Inc. operates a centralised cryptocurrency exchange and manages digital assets. Its platform enables users to engage in crypto spot trading, futures trading, and a range of other crypto-related activities.

A subsidiary of Sentillia B.V. operates a centralised cryptocurrency derivatives exchange for options and futures trading. Its core products are providing trading services for options for Bitcoin and Ethereum. Additionally, it provides futures and perpetual futures for such cryptocurrencies, along with limited spot trading for selected assets.

The Director General of the Office for Competition invites interested third parties to submit their written objections on this notified concentration within seven days following publication of this notice at the following address:
