Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (Implementing) Regulations, 2025 

The proposed provisions implement Regulation (EU) 2024/573 on Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases by repealing the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (Implementing) Regulations (S.L. 427.94) and substituting it with the new implementing regulations. The legislation addresses containment, use, recovery, recycling, reclamation, and destruction of fluorinated greenhouse gases, and specifies requirements for: 

• certification and training required to obtain an F-gas certification card
• labelling of products and equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases.

The phasing out of harmful F-gases is intended to lead to the uptake of more environmentally friendly gases in products and equipment.

These user-guidelines are being published in accordance with Article 3 of the Small Business Act (Cap. 512).
