The Maltese Standard SM 1400:2013 on “Motor Vehicle Repairs - Repairers Management System- Requirements” outlines the minimum requirements for a management system that may implemented by repairers wishing to demonstrate a best-practice approach to vehicle repairs and to continuously strive to obtain a high level of repair consistency and customer satisfaction.
Certification Scheme
The MCCAA provides a certification service to those motor vehicle repairers who adopt a management system according to the standard SM 1400:2013. Certified operators under this Scheme are inspected on a regular basis against the requirements of SM 1400:2013. Download the list of operators certified to SM1400:2023. Interested operators who wish to obtain certification are invited to write to the Head of Standardization on [email protected] or correspond by mail at the below address.
It shall be noted that such certification is voluntary and that this certification does not imply that other regulatory requirements not referenced in the standard are being met.
